Thumbs up

Congrats. My Dad used to say the apple don't fall far from the tree. Sounds like a proud Daddy to me.

Default In this case the "Apple" fell pretty far away from the tree.

Back in 1992 when the 82d had the Jump into Valley Forge during the 50th Anniversary of the Airborne, my son, then a 2/LT introduced me to Gen. Johnson (the 82d Cdr) on the Drop Zone. Gen. Johnson said "Colonel, why are you wearing that Green Beret?" My son piped up, "General, this is my dad...........he's from the "Dark Side!" LOL

Yes. Murph, congratulations. Hopefully, I will feel the way you do in a couple of years. My Son, Sean, is a 1st class midshipman this year. He will graduate in May as an Ensign and go on to submarine school. Who knows in a few years maybe he will command a fast attack sub.

Regards,

Bill

Congratulations to the both of you! What denomination does he represent? The best chaplains were those who had been regular enlisted or officers before becoming a chaplain. One of my favorites had been a West Pointer and Artillery in Vietnam. Chaplain Sam every bit a professional. That time in as a regular in the military makes for better chaplains.
