Default You're a curmudgeon only when someone else says you're a curmudgeon.

Thanks very much Ken.

Just when I thought I had the perfect handle for my disposition, you come along and tell us someone else has to say your a curmdgeon

Curmudgeon, curmudgeon. Wazza is a curmudgeon.
Think I'll be the only one to tell you?

Jane

Had a dog as a young lad for about 13 or 14 yrs. Had to put him down when he couldn't walk a straight line - kept falling over. Some brain disorder I think. Never seemed to want another pet after that. Started thinking bout girls and going surf'n.

Pas vraiment un homme de chien mais les chats d'HAINE.

Like the translation? I think not!

Cats take too much wildlife out even when they're de-sexed. In our countryside the wild ones grow to the size of small dogs or pigs. S'pose they okay in city apparments-they can chase rats and mice.

Ps: That's the first & last French from me. AND by the way, thanks for the vote of curmudgeonry

Any animals that you do like, besides the super market variety?

I like wildlife - we've got Blue Tongue lizards in our backyard and about twenty different species of birds visit the fruit trees.

Wazza...I hear you folks down in the Land of Oz have lots of very nasty snakes 'n spiders everywhere..at least according to Steve Irwin, the "croc hunter."

Lots of ops for wildlife lovers to lavish affection on the critters.

Yeah that Steve Irwin is a piece of work isn't he. We found out recently how he became famous in the US and good luck to him.

Well it probably ain't as bad as you think, but we do have the world's deadliest spider [Funel Web], snake [Taipan], sea creature [Box Jellyfish]. Pretty safe on the ground other than those pesky cats and goannas. Our skies are safe though not many wild geese to clog the airways. LOL

Okay, you're a curmudgeon.
I saw a wildlife show that said Oz has the 10 most venemous snakes in the world along with spiders, jellyfish and at least one octopus (probably more, but I not sure of the plural - octopi?). Standard joke with my sons is that if it's Australian, it must be poisonous. Hell, even the platypus has a poisonous spur!

Yeah. The truth is we live in paradise - beautiful one day, perfect the next. All that propaganda about those deadly critters is just a sham to keep would be immigrants out. LOL

We do it a little differently in Buffalo. Folks outside the city are sure that we are all lined up at the border with guns and knives, so they stay away. I worked outside the city, and heard so many times the "Oh my God, you live in the CITY???!!!" comments, that I ended up telling them I had a secret password to get in safely.
'Course, they could never find a really great and large house built in 1923, like mine, in the burbs. Too bad, so sad, can't give out the secret password, or they'd have to kill me!
