So it's death
Accused Baton Rouge serial killer Derrick Todd Lee was convicted on wednesday of killing college student Charlotte Murray Pace. She didn't lie down and go to sleep; she was stabbed 81 times. Lee was sentenced to death last night here in Baton Rouge. He had to change his pants before he left the court room.

I saw this and it?s notable that the Judge didn?t mince any words in his jury instructions. It?s good to know there are Judges still around that can focus on the enormity of the crime, the victims and not wonk-out on some pity party social crusade.

They take too long to rid of these dirt bags. If the bad guys tought they'd be executed immediately after being found guilty I wonder if this would slow them down - maybe just a little?

It?s my understanding that most psychopaths like the condemned, really don?t think they will ever get caught and recon they are a cut above. This one had some claim of mental retardation but he was un-retarded enough to elude capture for quite a while. My guess is that he thought he was invincible as well, and did a dump of surprise when the gavel really fell.
Overall, it?s my thought that capital punishment doesn?t deter the sickos other than the ones caught and hung. Zo, catch more, hang more should be the plan of the day, I?d say. Scamp
