(A Poor Choice of Words)

They say that “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet!” It must also be remembered however, that by attempting to be thoughtless with words or titles, it can be just as hurtful to some as a sharp stick in the eye!

As a matter of fact, all throughout human history, many (other than polite) names have been applied to (or by) those who (for one reason or another), seem to offend the ignorance of their peers, or even by those who themselves have the most to hide? And the art, if you can call it that, of chastising anyone with a disability, or even those with an addiction for that matter, is really nothing new at all! “As a matter of fact, some damned fools have always been quick to demean or even to slander, dating all the way back to even before biblical days!”

So you see, by hanging the title of “Stoner etc” upon any less than fortunate individual, it is (in my opinion again) no different than calling that person a gimp, or even a retard for that matter, and it can be just as hurtful and slanderous! And once again, there has always been a multitude of ignorant fools all throughout human history (even highly intelligent, affluent, and well educated ones as well), who have sought to demean, and even to slander, other less fortunate souls, and this without any thought or consideration toward the feelings or the sensitivities of others! And (in my own personal opinion), the cute little name of ‘Stoner’ is but one of the latest installments in “The Callous and Sometimes Thoughtless World of Mankind Himself!”

MedMen Enterprises, a Culver City company that owns and operates licensed marijuana stores, is trying to convince the public to stop using the word “stoner.”
The company says the word perpetuates an inaccurate and negative stereotype of marijuana users. MedMen has produced ads that emphasize that users come from all walks of life, and that they represent all professions, including law enforcement officers, nurses, and construction foremen.

To me a stoner is someone who throws stones at people.

Med. Marijuana is an alternate to the medications that currently doing more harm than good to those in pain. They are less addictive and often times not as effective for the person who is in pain. Street dope is one thing - Medical Marijuana is another.

You can often times say seeing a drunk he may be stoned. Meaning he had too much to drink. In the old days people were often stoned for various reasons mostly biblical moral crimes.

People in pain (my wife is one) have tried everything to relieve her pain even medical marijuana. It didn't help. She lives with pain 24/7 and I dare you to call her a stoner.
I will knock you on your ass! Never throw stones unless you're in the other persons body. Her pain is continuous with no relief. So get your facts straight or -

I may hit you with a very large stone!
