THE POWER OF THE PEOPLE v BIG OIL!
The price for a gallon of gasoline climbs faster than the crabs that infest some seedy, south of the border bordello! And yet our elected government remains indigent in the face of what to do about this international rape - WHY!? With all of the political and economic power that rests in the often arthritic hands of our elected machinery of state (opinion) - as well as the awesome might of American auto manufacturers, labor unions, local and federal governments that rely heavily upon road use taxes (especially from truckers) - not to mention the auto and truck replacement parts manufacturers, etc., etc., one would think that these ?All-American Power Houses? could put a rapid end to the greed of the oil cartels, foreign and domestic alike (If they really wanted to that is)?! Instead of inflicting reciprocal financial damage upon the economies of rapist nations and local plunderers, however, our leadership opts instead to support (foreign aid and rebuilding funds) the uncaring bastards who now seek to bring us to our collective knees! As a matter of fact, and quite to the contrary, vast fortunes are being made by the same cretins whom we have rescued time and time again, from the clutches of despots, disease, war, dictatorships, and financial instability! Some day it may be truly said that we (the USA) were killed by our own kindness. Not at the hands of any mortal enemy mind you, but rather from a poisoned arrow that has been shot deep within our patriotic heel by a planet full of GEEKS BEARING GIFTS of DECEIT, GREED, TREACHERY, and LIES! If our very own government will not, or can not act, then maybe we had better fall back upon a portion of the words of our Sixteenth (and greatest) President- Abraham Lincoln: ?This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their Constitutional right of amending it, etc., etc.? (1861) Another pretty good president by the name of Thomas Jefferson said: ?I hold it, that a little rebellion, now and then, is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical.? (1787) Well in my humble opinion, we have not only lost control of our own government in some ways, indeed, our government has lost control of itself, by ceding it?s power over to foreign entities as well as international and domestic financial pirates! How mistaken I was to ever believe that Theodore Roosevelt (Honcho # 26) ever really busted monopolies and trusts!? Instead, nowadays, the financial rape of the American people has become an international gang bang!! (opinion) ?Worse yet, most of us seem ever more content to just sit back and take it up the old backside!? VERITAS
