I think we met at last years "East coast campout" at Lake Lanier. I remember then that I asked if you could get me one of those cool "pscyo vets' jackets. Maybe I can be at next years get together and hopefully be able to find out where you got that jacket! You got a great friend in old DMZ-LT and I KNOW he can shore cook up a "mean" pork tenderloin. Like "Packo" said---we'uns need all the help round here we can get with all these "Yankee" types---good to have anuther Suthern brother ta talk to.

Be REAL careful though if'n you happen ta be a Democrat cause ya jest might get "labeled" a "cry-baby, snifflin, whiner type", ya knoes whut I mean! Sum folks round heanh don't seem ta be very "open-minded" uv folks with a little bit uv "liberal" type uv thinking. It's kinda turnin into a "bash-tha-folks-whut-don't-think-tha-RIGHT-way"--if ya get my "drift"!!!

Gonna move to Washington - just paid $93 to get my vet plates and they're "generic" - no insignia, no war. But Illinois does have a special plate for Korean war vets. No forgotten war here.

It's Doc from the campout. For all you doubnters out there, if there are any, I remember Sid from Quon Loi. He was with those Cambodes that inhabited the perimeter within the perimeter at Quon Loi. They had a single strand of barbed wire around their perimeter. It was up near the mansion on Quon Loi. What I remember him for was when he came in with pneumonia to Charlie Med. It's not often you get to tell a Green Beret Captain with a 105 degree temperature that he will feel much warmer if he will just let us give him this ice water and alcohol bath with the fan blowing on him. Yep, you came in with a high temperature to Charlie Med so we could use this medieval torture to get your temp down. It really worked.
