When Liars Rule Supreme

They say that a man (a real man) is only as good as his word, and most of us are willing to give the other guy the benefit of the doubt, but when a person (any person, from any society) utilizes lying as a business or political tool, and this with no consideration for anyone but themselves, then that person is not a patriot, but rather, is nothing but a liar, regardless of their station in life!

Of course, I am not throwing stones at any particular individual, political party, or even group there-of, but when the value for human life is restricted to one’s self and the end justifies the means, then as the magnificent Thomas Jefferson once said (1799):

“Whenever A Man Has Cast A Longing Eye On Them (Public Offices), A Rottenness Begins In His Conduct!”

Of course, and in my opinion, we are not likely to ever again witness a president, let alone a man, who could match Thomas Jefferson’s tremendous achievements!

FOR EXAMPLE: (and this is just a small portion of Jefferson’s accomplishments)
He purchased the Louisiana Territory from France (1803) for $15 million and doubled the size of the United States

He advocated states' rights over national institutions in stark difference to his predecessor John Adams

He drastically cut federal government spending and reduced the national debt by more than 25 percent

He banned all European trade from American ports in response to violations of US neutrality by Britain and France, etc., etc.

And to think that Thomas Jefferson did all of this (And Much, Much More) without the assistance of television, big money donors, half-truths, or an over-abundance of self-promotion – amazing!

Not to take away the good things HC post about our Founding Father(s) - I decided to see if this man (or others) had a dark side? Things we never knew without doing some research. This data is available on the Smithsonian web site. The have discovered that many of the Founding Father's had a dark side but it was common in those days.

Saintly image's we give many of our people held in high esteem have a dark side that never really comes out in publications without doing some research. Every man and woman has a dark side that seems to be true for almost everyone.

If interested go to this site and read some of the publications on our Founding Father's you may be taken back by some of the findings, But in those days many of the things we find un-tasteful in today standards but were in vogue back then.

Pick a founding father and search for the dark side of this person its amazing what you find out - if you want to?

God know's I am no without sin! There are no perfect people regardless what they say we all dig a ditch or two or more in our lives. Regrets sure but its always after the fact.
