All That You Can Do

All that any person can do in life is to try – “REALLY TRY!” I hear so much crap these days (as do you all, I am sure) from hucksters, political con-artists, and outright liars - all of whom have the absolute solution to all that ails us! And naturally, these solutions are crammed down all of our throats by those media messiahs who are more lords and masters than purveyors of truth and cold-hard facts – “George Washington, Each and Every One!”

But even with all of this media-brainwashing, “We the People” are still nobody’s fools – we know a con-artist when we see and hear one! “And as a matter of fact, that is why we educate our kids from birth here within The United States to recognize a real stinker at first whiff!”

Finally – “All that we can ever do is our very best in life!” Not that best that we have convinced ourselves that is all that is within our power to do, but rather, every damned once of effort that we have within us, and then even a little bit more! No war, after all, was ever won by half-hearted efforts, no territory was ever explored by he (or she) who was not willing to go that extra mile, and no real achievement was ever made by those who stole (or attempted to steal) the labors, the inventions, or the brain-child of another!

In fact, a thief is still nothing but a thief, and no matter how highly placed, they who feed upon the genius, blood, sweat and tears of others (all the way from The Fictional Halls of Valhalla on down to The Fabled Slums of Calcutta), are still no better positioned, or even eternally credentialed, than any other common creature that resides within “The Almighty’s Creation”, in my opinion!
