America
The question has risen, Can the United States remain a dominant world power without a counter power, such as the Soviet Union to balance it? Part two, is the Middle East going to become that counter balance?

The short answer...
If you take the emotional impact of 911 out of the equation and also your personal view on the right or wrong of the theory, and just consentrate on the theory itself, then I think, using historical facts,(not statistics), a case could be made that it was true. Simple solution or cause = Human Nature. Now, someone has to define Human Nature....
