Strangest thing jsut happened

Karen had to go and clean this machine out not to long ago, and lost some "sites" that I had on here.

I typed in StarsandStripes this morning, and up comes PORN. In another language.

What is this thing coming to?

Reeb,, I can relate to that.. It seems the porn thing is embedded in some way, when you type a certain way, it come up.

I typed my old aircraft carrier "BonHomme Richard" not too long ago, and pops up this porn site.. I think it relates to a name, and that name connected to certain letters in the web site..
All I know, it's gets my dandruff up...

That happens all the time to me. I'll be looking for a certain graphic and the search usually has one or two porn sites. Its still not as bad as the junk mail though.

I had this Spam mail I opened. It was software for getting rid of pop ups. When I tried to get off its mailing list. There must of been 5 pop ups of porn. Then a note from them saying if you buy our product you won't have this problem. Before that I didn't have problems with lots of pop ups but since I have, I had to do a complete scrub on my hard drive to get rid of those things.

Me too. All of a sudden I?m getting all these offers to watch some doxie do things and things with her do-dad in front of a web cam. And it?s all for free, just log on and provide a credit card number as proof of age says they. I don?t like the interruption in the first place and I?m not interested in watching some Gal ring her own chimes in the second place. Besides, I was born on a Wednesday but not last Wednesday and there is no such thing as free anything. Plus I never put my credit card numbers out on the web. But I suppose there a lot of fish in the pond and where there are fish; fishermen are soon to come along.

I suppose the next shoe to drop will be the server companies offering pop up porn blockers, for an additional cost of course.

The past two days, everytime I turn on my PC and go to the internet(to get Yahoo) I get a new browser, such as search engines.. And they are different ones that seem to take over..

This all started when I set up my wife's gift "Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator2" as a game. Surely this thing is't the problem. but it could be.
Or it is it something else getting into the system?
Anyone else have these problems?

the easyest way to give someone a Virous is to send it to them and say, DON"T OPEN THIS.
If you do open a virous, not only will it affect your computer but it will also go into your e-mail mailing list and send the virous to everyone on your list in your name.
If you get e-mails from someone you don't know, don't open them, even if you WON the big jackpot, Always run a good Virous program, (McAfee, Norton etc) and update regularly. There are about 100 new virous introduced into the internet every day. What someone says in the subject area of a e-mail is most likely not what the e-mail is about.
And if you use a network computer without a firewall , you could easy give the virous to ALL the computers on your network.
E-mail is the easyest way to get a virous, because Americans are courious and bull headed. If you know those two thing about someone giving them a virous is pretty easy.

(Free POP_UP protection) is more than likely a cookie put into your computer that excepts pop-ups.
(you have won) will probibly take you to a Gay porn sight and put your e-mail address on a list to all other porn sights.

Windows 98 or older, its pretty easy to delet all the temerary internet files, and cookies. 2000 or XP its a little harder but managable.
