Question Question Of The Ages?

Tell me - "What do you get when you eliminate God, the Constitution, Equality, Brotherly Love, Truth and Morality - replacing them instead, with Political Pandering, Social and Political Inequality, a Drug Culture, An Abnormal and Un-Holy Acceptance of The Grotesque, and a society that bows down before and worships money, absolute power, and all things international!?"

Default Rick.....

What ya get is the galactic Bag Balm; cure all known aliments, social poultice, and medicament of the ages, known as "Political Correctness". This universal cultural tool can be adapted to any situation and used to justify anything under the sun. It?s the politico?s Swiss Army Knife but has infinitely greater functionality. The newest model includes all the rights and privileges of a Justice of the Peace complete with a ?Marrying Sam?, ?roll yer own? instruction booklet. Way cool, huh.

Society has come to the point where no one wants to ask and no one wants to tell. Parents say they can't control their kids, we have illegal aliens throughout the US and in our military service. That just seems to ring a strange number in this old noggin.
We have the new generation that wants everything, and they want it RIGHT this second. Every kid has a pager, cellphone or pocket pc. I can recall, difficult as it is, that once upon a time it was neat to tie two cans together with a string and play as you had communications.
Sick of hearing all ages say this is my body, my life, so I will do as I please. Fine but why do I get called to extract them from vehicles after a night of partying, or to give cpr when they OD?
Now with that said, have you seen our leaders of tomorrow??

A real sorry state of affairs that makes me scared for the future of our once great country.

That?s right Bill, now all we need is an imperious one who fiddles (and fools around) while ?Rome? burns. Hmmm, seems like we got one of those revving up in the pits and looking to put it on the starting grid right now. :ek:

Default HARDCORE.............

I pretty-much go along with Keith,...even though my answer to your question covers infinitely much more territory.

My answer being: The United States of America (circa 1960 to 2004).

Neil,

I agree with Keith and don't include the entire country.

Cities are where people go for employment. When people get there and don't find work, the other poeple in the city are given the task of caring for them.

In small town America, families still take care of each other. God, Country and Mom's apple pie (as a bumper sticker that my son Tommy sent me) still exist and the local paper sent a reporter to Iraq not to bash our troops but to let families at home know how things are really going. Support our Soldiers rallys give National Guard troops a send off in several locations when they leave town. Guard and Reserve members join to serve knowing they can be called up not escape service to our country.

It's not perfect but small town patriotism still exists in this country.

Joy
