South Korea holds emergency meeting after Kim Jong Un’s sister threatens military action

South Korea’s top security officials held an emergency meeting after the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un threatened military action.

The officials met Sunday, a day after Kim Yo Jong, a top aide to her older brother, said that it was “high time to break with the South Korean authorities,” according to Korean Central News Agency, a state news agency.

“We will soon take a next action,” she said Saturday, without specifying what that action would be.

South Korea’s Defense Ministry said it was assessing the situation and monitoring North Korean movements.

“South Korean military is maintaining resolute military readiness to respond to all situations,” the ministry's statement said.

North Korea said last week it would sever communications with South Korea, attributing the move to South Korea’s failure to stop activists from sending anti-Pyongyang leaflets across the border. South Korea responded by saying it would take legal action against two organizations behind the operations.

North vrs South could mushroom (if you get my verbiage). Man I hate when things so suddenly erupt - this won't be their first dance - it was bound to happen sooner than later!

With all those heavy weapons on both sides millions could die. Sad isn't it?
