Question about M79 Grenade Launcher Ammo
I'm trying to find info on any WHITE PHOSPHORUS (WP) 40mm ammo for the M79 that would have been in use during Vietnam.
My web searches have been to no avail. Does anyone have any info or links that will help? Thanks! Steve / 82Rigger

I had an M-79 as my assigned weapon.....you can see the vest with all the rounds hanging on the TC / .50 cal hatch in the picture gallery ( altho not very clear )...As I recall I had HE, flesh-ette, CS gas, WP, Illum, buckshot ( shotgun ) rounds..I think that is all. As I recall the WP round was longer than the HE round and white....I think it was the only type of round that I never fired.
