39 Years in the Family Business: NMRTC Bethesda’s CO Says Goodbye to Navy Medicine

On March 9, 2021, at a ceremony held at the Walter Reed Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, Md., Capt. Gerald “Jay” Woelkers, MSC, USN, retired after 39 years in the Navy. His proudest achievements are his family, his family's legacy of service and his ability to make a positive impact on the sailors that he served with in his distinguished career.
