Default Plane goes by white house

A small sesna got withing 3 mile of the white house today before being intersepted by jets . He was ordered to turn away and did but then he did something really stupid, he turned back to the white house. He was forced to land and arrested.
Why wasn't he shot down. Some dumb ass thinks because he has money he can do what ever he wants. What kind of message does this send to someone who would wants to fly a small plane into the whitehouse.
Either shoot the idiots out of the air or stop sending up jets, pick one.
Reminds me of the idiots that try to slip a gun passed security to clame that security is no good. Find someone with a gun in a secured area, shoot them, the end.

agreed, after the first plane gets shot down the others won't argue about it and won't think about flying into restricted airspace. The news just reported they were released and no charges against them ......

We've probably all heard of the phrase, "There are old pilots, and there are bold pilots, but there are no old, bold pilots!" In this case, there are two very lucky, and hopefully, former pilots who never should have been able to 'kick a tire and light a fire.'

Gotta go with my friend Ron on this one: after one warning, the second burst of 30mm is directed at the pilot's head. Splash, wait! But since we didn't shoot him down, he gets to pay the fuel bill for the Blackhawk and the two F-16's that were launched.

Reports have it that it was an instructor and student pilot that got lost. Some instructor eh, and I wonder what kind of nav aids and commo equipment that Cessna had. It has the appearance of a situation where the blind was leading the blind and came perilously close to getting their butts incinerated. On the brighter side the Capital got a much needed evacuation drill, got the pucker factor up and a momentary respite from the musings of la-la land or the network Soap Operas, whichever was coming down at the time.

Default Pay

The instructor should lose his licens, The plane should be kept by Secet Service, and the Instructor should have to pay the government for expences, and pay the Distric of Columbia for its expences.
A warning should be given to all TV station that this is all the warning that anyone will get from now on. You fly in restricted air space you get shot down. Or quite wasteing our Airforce time and manpower on a perceived plan.

One last thing, the instructor should be made to poss with a sign that reads "I am an Idiot. "
