Hears a pic of the ammo dump after it was mortard, I got a picture after we landed and I went to the area, I'll find is and post it next. A lot of guys died it this explosion.

Just after TF Oregon began the last of June 67 there was an attack on Duc Pho and they hit the ammo dump this picture is where tents used to be, (occupied) . Stuff was going off for two days, ya didn't want to get close until the smoke was gone.
I loaded a chinook sling and cargo net full of burned 81 ammo and the cinook took it out to the ocean and droped it.
