Getting Up There In Years

A great deal of water has flowed under the bridge since 1940, a year or so before the onset of our entry into “World War Two” - and I would like to say that it feels like just yesterday, but in all honesty – “I Can Not!” They do say, however, that it is not so much the years, as it is the mileage, but don’t you ever believe it, as the wear and tear, the aching joints, and a few of the creatures that I have met during that time, have also left much to be desired!

It is not that they all have been deficient in character or even in class for that matter, but I would be far less than truthful if I were to say that everyone that I have ever met was sterling and amiable? But once again, I guess that it is just “The Nature of The Beast”, and they do say that: “Into Each Life A Little Rain Must Fall?”

But really now, and most of us have all run into more than our fair share of cretins and fools, but can anyone, outside of “Old Will Rogers”, really say that they have never met a person that they did not like, or some creature that would have been better left in “The Infernal Regions?” And if this is truly the case - then I say to you that – “You Have Indeed Been Very Fortunate!”

But Like They Also Say – HELL AIN’T HALF FULL OF LIARS AND SINNERS YET – “NOW IS IT??”
