Man, what a web site! It is really comprehensive.

My Great-Uncle was in the 3rd Army. When I was a kid, anytime we wanted to hear a good cussin' we would just ask Uncle Leon about Patton. He would fly off the handle every time.

Would have loved serving under Patton. In WWII Patton might have been showboating, but he knew what it took to win a war. Read his book "A Study in Command." Awsome reading. In the book he knocks Montgomery, and slew of other allied officers for poor leadership. He speaks highly of Omar Bradley as the soldier's general. His son was susspose to be as good. Just thikn how hard it must have been to be Patton's son. He probably demanded more of himself than most of us did living in the shadow of a great leader.
