Somebody explain something to me...
I'm just a lowly enlisted parachute rigger from the Vietnam era.
I don't know jack crap about G-2. So, you officers or people who were paid to know such things please explain to me... What, exactly would be the strategy of attacking Syria? 1. If we target the chemical weapons, why will that not spread sarin gas all over Syria? 2. Assad is moving his weapons into civilian areas. If we target those, why will we not kill more civilians than HE did? 3. If we do NOT take out Assad, and do NOT significantly reduce Syrian forces, how will the conflict be helped? 4. If we kill Russians, then what? I don't get it. Rigger

The only military base Russia has outside their own country is in Tartus, Syria. They are sending their only aircraft carrier there.

"Lowly enlisted parachute rigger"??? Nonsense!!! Whatever, your 4 questions clearly show that you clearly know a-helluva-lot-more about unwisely wasting lives and treasure: "Attacking Syria", than Commander-In-Chief and any of his rubber-stamping administration, admirals and generals do. I sure hope that common sense and sanity prevails instead of politics,...FOR-A-CHANGE??? Neil
