Default My Mother

Just found out last night that my mother is dying of cancer.

She is under care of Hospice and my sister.

She is 84 years old and lives in Florida.

The Doc says about 6 months to live, but that was in Oct of last year, and my sister just told my brother and he told me. ( what a family, huh?)

She wants to be cremeted ( sp ) and her ashes poured over the grave of her 7th husband in Florida.

My mother brought me up from a divorced family and done as well as she could. ( not very good , huh ?
Why am making fun of this?????? I guess I am not really, just dont know what to do next, lost my father in 1992 and now this and just at a lost of thought.

enough.................

reeb.................

doug.................

Very sad to hear this, reeb.

Yes, she did the best she could, and she will always be your Mother.

And that's the name of that tune.

Thinking of you, and her.

Sorry to hear this news reeb. I haven't heard from my father in 10+ years and i'd still be sad to hear this news from him.

Prayers to your mom.

The only thing sure in life is that one day, you will die. Be nice to your mother she is the only one you got. If it takes a little extra effort well then that is what it takes.

I don't know if you are a Believer, but nevertheless, I pray that the Holy Comforter will give you peace.

Reeb

I lost my mother on the day [20 July 2006] that we learned that Rick had fluid on the brain and needed surgery. Eight days later Rick had brain surgery and was in the hospital for 1 month. I didn't get to grieve for my mother at the time. I understand where you are coming from and going through.

Take care. Your mother has lived a long life.
