That mad gleam in Spencer Tracy's eyes was very memorable. Too bad Part 2 was never filmed.

But...what happened to the blonde girl and the Indian boy who were helping Robert Young's character after he was wounded? They just seemed to disappear off the face of the earth.

While the movie was OK for its time (take a close look at the battle scene and you'll notice the rubber bayonets), but the book was so much better.
I'd rather be historically accurate than politically correct.
