Default In Full Agreement

We have 2 recognition days, 3 if your a Confederate.

May 10 Confederate Memorial Day

May 31 Memorial Day

Nov 11 Veterans Day

There is no WWII Rec. Day, WWI, Korea, or any other war. Washington DC had a huge Welcome home parade. New York, had a huge Welcome home parade. Tons of towns from Maine to California also had Welcome home parades. I think we deserve no more recognition than any other war veterans. Also, May 1st is May Day, the traditional celebration of Communisim. If they have it then, I think the irony is way to "ironic".

Also have young sailors and marines always thanking me for my service and giving me tons of respect. Enough is enough.

Default I already had my thanks

About a year ago early on a Sunday morning, I was gassing up my pickup when a lady pulled up behind me and started to fill her car. She looked at my VN sticker and asked if I had served in VN. I answered yes and prepared for whatever may come. She walked over to me and said "Thank you". That was all but it was more than enough. I have already had my day.

I don't talk about being a Vietnam vet ( except here ), I have only been thanked for my service once which I appreciated. I do have a Purple Heart tag on my car and that has gotton a few horn toots, usually from other Vets. Never attended a veterans fuction which has been my choice, always felt it was too late. I keep in mind our KIA's and in my prayers. There it is..............
