use of first 15,000 lb "daisy cutter"..I was there ( my picture )
This picture is of my platoon ( 4th ) of Co. B 2/22(M), 25th Infantry Division, crossing an LZ made by a Commando Vault ( "daisy cutter" ), 15,000 lb. bomb, made on the first day of the Cambodian "incursion on 6 May 1970. This was, I believe, the first use of this bomb in combat. This was to make an LZ for 3/22. More info about this is available at
