Young...
For sure iffn I was a redwood! Whew! Who’d a thunk it! Live fast, love hard, die young, has always been my motto, two out three ain’t bad. It’s gone by faster than a Oklahoma twister. And what an education I’ve received along the way, and still learning. These past six months have taught me more than I’ve ever known about lemons and making lemonade. And I’m learnin’ to lean, learnin’ to lean, learnin’ to lean on Jesus, finding more power than I’ve ever seen learnin’ to lean on Jesus. Funny how He had to sit me down to get my attention. My bro said the same thing. It must be the Irish in us.
I want to say once more how much I love you all, GRIZZZZZ, THERE YOU GO AGAIN! Cupcake? How many times do I have to tell you I’m NOT a dessert! What is it with you guys born in 47? “You call everybody darlin’ and everybody calls you darlin’ too.” ;-) Never mind though. You know brother, you are all my hero’s. Everyone of you that answered the call and served honorably. There is not a day goes by that something somewhere does not remind me of one of you. You’ve given me laughter and giggles, political arguments that darn near gave me a heart attack, allowing myself to forget my better Angels of which I‘m very sorry. I’ve learned some hard lessons about playing well with others and the bonus round of life. Sometimes you have to stand down and be quiet to get there. I love this crazy, noble, brave, dysfunctional family, you have taught me more than you will ever know about love, loyalty, forgiveness and courage. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And a special thanks to Bern and David for putting up with us all these years. Their geriatric skills are second to none. Don’t you know they would love to have the whole crew together in a senior retirement center. Oh boy! Take care of each other for me, will you? Peace to your hearts and Angels on your Six, Your Sis in Indian Territory….

Reeb, Bob, Melody, Larry thank you for the well wishes. Hope all is well on the home front for each of you. To quote a friend’s statement to my Sis-in-law, “I’m doing everything I used to do only slower."
