Aloha Airlines

In July or so 1967 we, The 3rd of the 25th, was working with some 101 guys out of Duc Pho.
Along a dirt road 535 (I think) we were to be in support of some engeneer company that were clearing mines on that road. There were some Lrrps that would head out away from us and set up for Arty relay. Every 5 or 6 days these Lrrps would show up and we would feed a resupply them and then they were gone again.
Aloha Airlines was a 25th inf aviation group that would fly support and resupply for us. There was also a group of gun ships called the Sharks. These gunships were just huey's with some twin 60s mounted and a rocket pod, but they were impressive to us.
I remember this 101 guy giing the Hawian sign when he was leaving sitting next to a guy wiith a aloha airlines patch on his sleve.
Soemtimes you remember some pretty strang things in war.

Then they blew the ammo dump and things got serious.

I'm pretty sure that Patriot Files member Rotorwash flew with the Sharks

He was Homie. Went to a reunion last year and met 3 guys that were in my platoon. We all remember the day that X happened but after that the memories are vastly different. My Doc says he thanks me every day for shooting a guy that was about to shoot him. I remember the fight but not Doc being there. One day a track got hit and it burned for a day killing one guy. Tiny who was standing right next to me swears 4 guys got burned up and their screams haunt him today. I guess we all made our own movies in our heads.
