I just heard where these pending government shutdowns are going to adversely affect “Our Military” and other quintessential programs, but nothing about “The $ Big Hurt” extending its venomous tentacles into the pockets of “The Posh and The Comfortably Placed!”

“The problem is that these bureaucratic bon vivants have got our number!” They know just how we think and how we will react in any given situation! But for their information: “We the People Are Not the Enemy!” Nor are most of us, with a few pathetic exceptions, lap dogs, yes men, or even lackeys!! So if a few of those ever-obedient tagalongs and automatons truly believe that they have our number, always remember that we have their number as well, and Old Lady Liberty never forgets!

And as far as these government shutdowns are concerned, what would happen if we found out that, even with these shutdowns, “Our Country” runs just as well without some of that bureaucratic deadwood??? In fact, and once again in my opinion, maybe the first thing that should be shut down is the salary and perks of those within government itself?

I once heard a prominent politician telling the public to, and I quote: “Keep Your Hands Out Of Our pockets!”

“Well, for his information, they are not his pockets – they are ours, right along with the pants and the bureaucrat that is wearing them, in my opinion!”
