Default Hepatitis C

My Bro,Gus who served on a Swift Boat has been diagnosed with Hep-C,and will undergo Interferon treatments beginning next week. These treatments are ongoing for a duration of 48 weeks and, from what I understand are very unpleasant,to say the least. The side effects include an array of ugly stuff like depression, malaise, nausea, just to name a few,so Gus is in for a tough year ahead. His computer is down right now,but I`m going to try and bring him aboard for some support when he gets back on line.
Hep-C is a bugger-boo that we,as Vietnam Veterans should all have on our list for being checked out. Please go to the doc...all of us.Pray for Gus to have strength.Thanks.

Hep C is nothing to mess with. In my field I have to get checked all the time too. Keep is informed and I will keep him also in my prayers. If and when he can have him let us know how he is doing with the meds too.

Thumbs up Griz

Prayers and good wishes to Gus. My brother lived with me when he was in the last stages of AIDS - lots of family talk about open wounds and blood. Peace

Bob that's the thing about prayers...ya never seem to run out.

Griz,
My big bro has HepC too. He contacted his from IV drugs. He's also go Type II Diabetes. AND this numbskull HATES needles, passes out when a doc comes anywhere near him with one. Go figure.
My heart and prayers for your brother. The best thing for him would be to get him online. It's a great way to educate yourself on this disease an to find others with similar situations.

Good Luck!

Good idea for all of us to get checked. Hep C can lie dormant for decades. Why I DON'T have it is beyond me. I have been exposed to a lot of blood.
