The Chase in Thetford is a very popular locals pub and restaurant that provides guests with much more than just behemoth plates of food.
The Green King-owned restaurant’s appealing décor of hanging brass pots and charming signs welcome visitors to sit back and enjoy one of the real ales and droughts on offer. The family friendly restaurant which is part of the Hungry Horse chain offers an excellent range of food including hearty traditional English dishes served on 14 3/4-inch plates.
The restaurant boasts entrees that include ribs, scampi, lamb and steaks along with a selection of meals for vegetarian customers. The menu also possess a selection of starters, curry dishes, children’s classics and desserts. And the price is nice at the Chase with dishes that start at 3.99 pounds and many of the big plates starting at 5.49 pounds, with their “best ever value menu” which includes a range of two meals for only 8.49 pounds.
During different days of the week guests can enjoy specials that include a British beef burger with pint for a paltry 4.99 pounds and a traditional Sunday roast for 5.59. Right now on Mondays and Tuesdays kids eat for 1 pound with each full price purchased meal and on Fridays patrons can enjoy traditional fish and chips, dessert and tea or coffee for 6.99 pounds.
Beyond the food, the Chase has a fun and friendly atmosphere with Karaoke on Friday nights, poker on Tuesdays, bingo on Thursdays and DJs on Saturday nights. Sports fans can catch the latest on the pub’s five televisions airing ESPN and Sky sports.
The Chase is conveniently located at a crossroads that links Thetford with Lakenheath, Brandon and Norwich and offers plenty of off-street parking.
The Chase is open from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. Monday - Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. and 11 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.
