Default Pribor-3B nordenfelt gun

Man-portable nordenfelt gun of the soviet era. It apparently fired like a minigun and to be suitable for a soldier to handle, but ammo supply was limited being magazine fed.

The Pribor-3B still worked but was also quite hard to control due to the recoil force, Cartridge ejection is downwards BEHIND the magazine area as the weapon uses a gas/recoil operaton similar to that used in the AN94 Abakan assault rifle currently used by Russian special forces. The Pribor-3B would be more practical as a tripod mounted MG if its possible to make a belt feed device for it.

Thanks for the post. Very interesting weapon. I would imagine it had trouble with barrel warping with the barrels so close together. Any idea on the rate of fire?

FYI in the future, if you use "Insert Image" or the IMG tags it will locally copy the file in case the originals get deleted.

The ammo is the same 7.62x39 as used in the AK47's, It would be better off in a smaller rifle caliber, Not only for the recoil but ammo capacity. As for the ROF, Not sure but possibly up to 2,000ish? as it is combined to increase the ROF.

I only found so much from Max Popenker of worldguns.ru, As said previously, He claims the weapon uses a gas/recoil? system that ejects the spent brass behind the magazine area, and that the mechanisim led to the AN94 Abakan assault rifle. The Pribor-3B is not mentioned/found on his site but you could email him for further information though.

I have been trying hard everywhere to find official information sources but havent found any.

Here is his website.
