Default Shias 'kill US troops in Baghdad'

Seven US soldiers have been killed in fighting with Shia militia in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, the US military says.
At least 24 American troops are said to have been wounded in the clashes in the Sadr City area.

Sunday also saw at least 20 killed and more than 100 injured in clashes between Spanish-led troops and Shia demonstrators in the city of Najaf.

One soldier from El Salvador and one from the US were reportedly killed in that firefight.

The US administrator in Iraq, Paul Bremer, said protesters had "crossed the line and moved to violence".

Time to start kiling everyone with a black turban. It's the damn Mullahs who are inciting the mulsims to kill. Can you imagine what would happen here if Ministers or Preists or even Rabbi's exhorted their congregations to go out and kill someone?

It looks like this could turn into a nasty civil war with outside agitators stirring things up. Bush's War without purpose, exit strategy, or direction, needs to be wrapped up ASAP. Altho killing everyone with a black turban is an option, what is the point ?? ...I still remember Somalia in 1993 and Lebanon in 1982, and I am sure our enemies do also....

The statagy is so simple that it scares me...when one of our troops is maimed or killed in a town or village there, the area U.S. commander issues an order, "Give us who did it or we level the town, you have 24 hours" if after 24 hours the sniper or bomber or whoever is not handed over level the town. I think it will take this to happen maybe twice before we had full cooperation out of all people concerned.

It will work. If you have ever been to that part of the world, you would know, the only thing they understand is , he with the biggest gun wins.

All the talk and taking and giving or lands and political prisoners is hogwash. The guy with the biggest stick wins and there is no other answer.

We have too many bleeding hearts in this country that would stoop there feet and cry to TV reporters, thus causing the limped wrist, yellow spined, polictically correct congressmen/women to pressure the President to end it. Thus, once again we would have started something that the American people would not let the President finish.

Default Urban Myth?

Like most here, doubtless you've read about the incident with 'Black Jack' Pershing, and how he dealt with Muslim terrorists in the Philippines. Perhaps that same tactic would work in Iraq: those that are captured and convicted (quickly by military set of circumstances, i.e., witnesses) would be executed via firing squad, using pig-manure coated bullets. Their bodies would then be thrown into a pit, pig blood and manure dumped on top of them for all the village to see, and adequate posters tacked to utility poles, announcing the same fate to anyone else caught in the act of committing terroristic acts. Since a Muslim can't collect on his 72 virgins promise if he's defiled, and believe me, about two gallons of pig blood and manure will to the roper amount of defilin', I highly recommend the tactic be applied immediately.

Col...I have read the story and am undecided of it's effectiveness as I can not think of a long stretch of time that the Philippines have not been a thorn in our side. Not very knowledgeable about their history, could be it was outside troublemakers causing the problems but seems like there has always been problems with the islands.
