Do you know the dates that tet started and also when they said it ended? Especially in Hue. I think that went on longer than the rest of the country and I think I got there just after the NVA were kicked out of the new city but still were in the Cidedell side of the Perfume River.

Slum
The Marines declared Hue safe on Feb 25th.
There are actually three cities in the city of Hue.
The New city of Hue was on the Hwy 1 side of the river, Wear MACV was. Hue was just inside the citadel, and then there was the Imperial city, inside another walled area inside the citadel. There were at least two canals in the new city of hue.
I don't have time right now to post the info I have, I just got home from the Rodeo and it's 1:14 in the morning.
Night.

Yeah took about 15 or 16 days of fighting in Hue to get it secured. Good documentary about it on the Military Channel on Monday night. Forget the name of the program, but two Englishmen are the hosts, one carriers a board that is like 3-d that shows the tactics used by both sides and how the battle was fought.

We would have been close to each other. I crossed the Perfume river in Hue real often. Do you know of a place called Hue Ramp. It's where we would get loaded with supplies from boats coming up the river. Another place near there [an Island I think] Tam My?

I'll try to get some stuff tomorrow.

Slum. where your talking about is north of Hue.

Lcorp. is most likely talking about the road going past MACV that lead over the river. about 5 miles form each other.

In regards to my post, the program is called 20th century battle fields, guess the program didn't get into the detail that lcpd24 did, must have covered the major fighting.
