Korean, Vietnam and OIF Nurses Bridge Generational Gaps

BETHESDA, Md. (NNS) -- The Washington metro area chapter of the
National Nurses Corps Association hosted a luncheon and panel
discussion Oct. 15 at the Uniformed Services University of Health
Sciences.

Navy nurses who served in American campaigns or conflicts from as far
back as the Korean War discussed the differences in the era’s training
and technology, as well as the lessons learned.

The seven-person panel consisted of Ensign Betty Gregorio, who served
aboard USS Consolation (AH 15) during the Korean War; Lt. j.g.
Rosemary Geraghty, of USS Repose (AH 16) and Lt. j.g. Ann Langley of
USS Sanctuary (AH 17), both of whom served during the Vietnam era.
