Smile Happy Birthday, U.S. Army!

FOLLOW ME!

I AM THE INFANTRY!
I am my country's strength in war, her deterent in peace
I am the heart of the fight, wherever, whenever
I am the queen of battle!

I am what my country expects me to be
The best trained soldier in the world
In the race for victory
I am swift, determined, and courageous
Armed with a fierce will to win

Never will I fail my country's trust
Always I fight on
Through the foe, to the objective, to triumph over all
If necessary I will fight to my death

By my steadfast courage I have won 200 years of freedom
I yield not to weakness,
to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds
For I am mentally tough, physically fit,
and morally straight

I will never forsake my country, my mission, my comrades,
my sacred duty

I am relentless, I am always there, now and forever,
I Am The Infantry...FOLLOW ME!!!

Yes, today June 14 is the 233rd Army Birthday. Thank a soldier for his or her service and there is no better way than to honor them with a Freedom Team Salute commendation. No cost to anyone. A fully paid Army program.

Easy to do online at: www.freedomteamsalute.com.

Any citizen can nominate as many honorably discharged Army veterans as they want.

As we all know, The Navy has no sense of humor. Case in point: We had a Rev War re-enactment a couple of weeks ago and I was doing my regimental surgeon demonstration when 3 sailors came up. Being a AF vet, I felt it was my duty to harass them, which I did. Nothing profane or anything, just some good natured ribbing. Man, were they pissed! Despite my showing them my old dog tags and telling them my MOS, they cussed me out in the most vile terms and actually threatened me with bodily harm! I guess bullying a middle-aged fat guy makes them feel more macho but that's typical of swabos.
