SSD bridges the operational and institutional domains of Army training for enlisted Soldiers and sets conditions for continuous growth. From E-1 to E-9, SSD will ensure learning is continuous and enduring, not sporadic and transitory. SSD is required learning that continues throughout a Soldier's career and is closely linked to classroom learning in NCO Education System courses and synchronized with experiential learning in the unit.
