Thumbs up Thanks for the pictures:

Thanks for the pictures ExLrrp. I have always wanted to visit Normandy and Omaha Beach, but have never found the time to do so.

Maybe some day, when I retire, Dolores and I will then be able to make the trip. I have always wanted to thank all the Allied World War II Veterans, that died there, for making the Supreme Sacrifice in order to defend our country and way of life. If I am fortunate enough to get to Normandy, and the beaches, I will also make a toast to all the departed American Veterans that came before us.

To all my Vietnam Veteran Brothers and Sisters I again want to state:

WELCOME HOME

James :

darn sand storms and solar flares...

I am speechless...you have outdone yourself. You could have a career as a travel writer.

My Uncle Willard was on the U.S.S. Nevada on June 6,1944. He is 88 years young and can still discuss it lucidly. God Bless 'Em All.

The U.S.S. Nevada later went to the Pacific and endured kamikaze attacks. It was blown up in one of the A-bomb test blasts on Bikini Atoll.

I salute you brother !! Welcome Home !!

Later

Post Thanks James

I'd used communion wine but as a layman a beer will work.

Seriously James,

Thank you for your posts especially at the Beaches of D-Day.

Thank you so very much.

Gotta Love that James!

Just one question, When you stood on the beach and faced those old gun enplacements, Did the hair stand up on your arm?

I think you need to come home now, your making us jelous.

Thanks

Ron
