Book Smart & Street Dumb
12-17-2021
Yeah, you heard it right – “Book Smart, And Street Dumb, The True Definition Of Politics, Right Here Upon Good, Old Terra-Firma!” And that is a cold and hard fact that we all have had to live with – ever since the end of “The Big War”, on September 2nd of the year 1945 - But have we really learned one blessed damned thing, at least politically, since that time, and maybe well into the future as well? And if you really think that we have, then maybe Korea, Vietnam, The Middle East, and a plethora of other political and military intrigues were all in our minds alone – yeah, right?! Wars may be waged to prevent an enemy (and potential foe as well) from threatening our interests and our way of life – but the dead from these conflicts are never resurrected, and apparently, and even with our advanced technology and killing power, we still allow some politicians and despots to make the call, at least when it comes to waging these wars? And yet, throughout all of these “Wars To End All Wars”, the world has learned precious damned little on how to prevent the next one (War) from once again stopping the insanity that leads to them? Of course, this is not to say that there are not times when violent-force is not a necessity! Or even that “We Must Not” hold true to those two-hundred and forty-six years of patriotic values! ‘Values’ that have insured that, as Abraham Lincoln once avowed, away back in 1863 – “These Dead Shall Not Have Died In Vain!!!” Yes indeed, and in my opinion: “It may be the world’s politicians and despots that start and exacerbate these world tensions, but it is the blood and the courage of - “Our True And Heroic Patriots - That Eventually Quells These Fires!!” Hardcore
