misadventure ?
I have ran across this phrase in a Vietnam KIA before . I did not know the individual and was not present . But what does ground, hostile, misadventure mean ?

Supposedly meas that they went someplace that they weren't told to go but mostly means that the person in charge of the one that was KIA is trying to C his own A.

I asked my spiecal forces bud, he says they used it a few times, misadventure or
Short Round - an artillery round that falls short of the target on the Gun Target Line
