Too emotional?
I received my grade for my MGR project, I got a 169/150 an A+, but the thing that got me was that all over my report and genres was everything was too emotional, I had really good facts but there was too emotion. Now I looked at that and thought, this paper isn't about war statistics, it wasn't about politics, it was about soldiers, and 58, 000+ soldiers dying has to have some kind of emotion there. But I got an A, and I appreciate all the help I was given, I did this for all of you and all of those who are no longer with us. You guys are heroes and I'm sorry if I have too much emotion about it.

Good Work.
Too emotional, an observation or criticism? The instructor was probably struggling their emotions also. Sometimes the truth is emotional. Since you received an A+ it was probably more of an observation than a criticism.
You are one special young lady. Thank you for understanding and being proud of the Vets of Vietnam. Keith

Great Job Taylor
Don't be too concerned about the notes left on your paper Taylor concerning emotion. Emotion was, and still is, a big factor concerning every one's service in Vietnam. If anyone managed to do a Tour in Nam, without developing some type of emotion concerning their presence there, then they were completely devoid of feelings to begin with. Vietnam had a way of developing emotion in everyone that served there and effected everyone in different ways. To deny that emotion exists now, would falsely destroy one of the biggest causes of Post Tramatic Stress that a lot of Veterans still suffer from to this day. Emotion also explains why a lot of us Vietnam Veterans still have demons that continue to haunt us, and will probably do so until the day that we die.
Congratulations on your A+ also. You deserve it. To all of my Vietnam Veteran Brothers and Sisters I again want to wish you a most HEART FELT and SINCERE: WELCOME HOME VIETNAM 1968

Taylor,
Congrats on your paper! Well done! Journalism schools teach that you should convey emotion to the reader, without becoming "too emotional" personally and thereby compromising your objectivity. It's just a technical observation....nothing to be concerned over. Steve / 82Rigger
