1938 Original radio song by Kate Smith Its the original "This is the original FIRST broadcast radio performance of God Bless America by Irving Berlin as introduced by Kate Smith on November 10, 1938. She later recreated it for the Warner Bros. film but this is the actual debut. Someone on Ebay (Epluri) has persisted in offering a copy for thousands of dollars claiming that they have the only original disc , even though they have been told otherwise.
