SECOND INDOCHINA WAR:
November 24, 1966 (Year of the Horse [Binh Ngo]) (US Counteroffensive Phase II): Troops and civilian contractors of the 1st Signal Brigade are ambushed near Dalat in a communications convoy en route to the mountain relay site at Pr' Line.

November 24, 1966 (Year of the Horse [Binh Ngo]) (US Counteroffensive Phase II): Operation Attleboro update: Throughout the day Companies A and B of the 1/5th (Mech) remain in base and at local outposts. Company C departs at 0700 to establish Fire Support Base #0. At 0812, an APC hits an antitank mine, resulting in minor damage but no casualties. Another APC hits an AT mine ten minutes later, doing heavy damage to the vehicle and wounding five men, who are evacuated. Company C then closes into its planned base at 0925 and prepares defensive positions. An artillery battery is airlifted in, completing the fire support base.

November 24, 1966 (Year of the Horse [Binh Ngo]) (US Counteroffensive Phase II): The 155th AHC "pool conspiracy" operation is brought to a successful conclusion.

November 24, 1966 (Year of the Horse [Binh Ngo]) (US Counteroffensive Phase II): A day of tragedy and bravery for Battery C, 2/20 ARA near LZ Hammond in Binh Dinh Province.

November 24, 1967 (Year of the Goat [Dinh Mui]) (US Counteroffensive Phase III): Operation MacArthur update: In the Hill 882 vicinity, the 1/503rd moves into an area of B-52 strike for a bomb damage assessment (BDA). D Company again engages a NVA force, killing one and capturing two AK-47`s and an SKS rifle with a grenade launcher.

November 24, 1968 (Year of the Monkey [Mau Than]) (US Counteroffensive Phase VI): Operation Meade River update: BLT 2/7, now reinforced with two more companies, K/3/26th and C/1/7th Marines, makes its fifth attempt to clear the NVA from the "Horseshoe." At 1830, faced with stiff resistance, the Marines break contact and withdraw for the night.

November 24, 1968 (Year of the Monkey [Mau Than]) (US Counteroffensive Phase VI): A/7/17 Cavalry reports partially destroying a large bunker complex near Polei Kleng in Pleiku Province.

THIRD INDOCHINA WAR:
November 1987 (Year of the Hare [Dinh Mao]): Cambodia: PAVN withdraws the 94 Division Group from Battambang, alleged to be composed of a division (possibly the 9 Division) and two brigades; also withdrawn by sea from Kompong Som is the 99 Division Group, consisting of two brigades, eight M113 APCs and two tanks. Approximately three-quarters of these forces are replaced by fresh arrivals, and total PAVN strength in Cambodia is now down to about 120,000 men.
