Default Campaign Medals

Our military categorizes our involvment with campaign medals for the troops and ribbons for the colors. The time I was there I was involved in 3 different campaigns ,
1. Vietnam Counteroffensive phase 3 ,July 1 1965 to jan 29 1968
2. tet counteroffensive jan 30 1968 to april 1 1968
3. Vietnam counteroffensive phase 4 ,april 2 1968 to june 30 1968
Each one of these campains gets a ribbon for the unit color staff and each member authorized to wear a bronze "battle star" on their campaign medal.

Seventeen campaign medals were authorized for the Vietnam war. If you tell me your dates you were there I can tell you what campaign medals you should have and your units ribbons for there color staff.

Default thanks Ron

That's interesting. The people I was with, always talked about 3 stars. It wasn't on my dd-214 so I never wore them on the, I was there medal. Five stars is a surprise.
