Apparently, The Law Does Not Apply To Those In Power?

When a well-known "California Lawmaker" was recently accused of numerous (extremely serious) transgressions against the government (WE THE PEOPLE), the truth finally surfaced as to what is really going on within the ?Hallowed Halls of Unaccountability, the Bastions of Graft, the Enclaves of Lies, and the Offices of a Government - elements of which, are Sometimes For Sale!"

Even if one disregarded the "Almost Obvious Lack of Ethics and The Absence of Integrity :ek: (opinion)? that exists in some quarters of government, the single paragraph that is partially recopied and printed in red below from a major U.S. newspaper, clearly displays that a double standard exists amidst a few of the ?Powers That Be!? One in which the ?Creators of Laws? often totally ignore the same mandates that they constantly shove down the throats of ?Thee & Me (Common People)!

If you doubt this analogy, and if you even have the guts to partake what I have to say herein, then I invite you to read the paragraph (in red) that is copied (with some minor alterations) below! I have, of course, eliminated the names of the key players, even though many (if not most) of you will be able to fill in the blanks?

The real slap in the face to us all, however, is encapsulated in the way that this stinking domino retains its odor of dishonor, all the way up and down the line! Please note the redundancy of the words ?NO COMMENT? from top to bottom, in the paragraph (in red) below!

Of course, and it should be obvious, the whole idea in this game is to develop excuses, create believable lies, develop cover-ups, pass the buck, and let the heat (and stench) of this latest crime in government blow away so that these political animals can lie their way out of trouble!

And let us never forget the ?Skeleton Factor!!? This, when coupled with the ?Domino Effect?, can destroy many a political career, as well as any aspirations of future political stardom, in a heartbeat!! For after all is said and done, not too many politicians (or the associates of these same politicos), are not aware of the skeletons that reside in their cronies (and their own) closets!!

After all is said and done, the paragraph printed below (in red) contains minor alterations that are intended to blur the names of those being investigated (as well as their brown-nosed associates ). Said paragraph clearly displays (in my humble opinion) the lack of accountability that is present from ?Political Mountain Top to the Canyons of Bureaucratic Oblivion!? And this ?Corrupted Political Mindset? encompasses an unaccountability that laughs in the face of the people of our great nation itself!

These actions by some who are currently in power, portray a ?Vicious State of Mind ? that is (unfortunately) shared by a few others within government and it?s bought and paid-for staff of like thinking wannabes! (opinion)

?Of course, there are many others within the system who are noble in cause, actions, and deed , and these people are to be applauded ! It is, however, a crying shame that the good are sometimes permeated by the stench of the bad!?

QUOTE (IN PART) A MAJOR RAG?

The attorney, in turn, declined to comment. Numerous calls to the ?Clerk of The House?s Office? this week either went unanswered or were referred to the House ethics committee for response. Calls to the ethics committee, however, also went unanswered or resulted in no comment!"

Now add to this the reported fact that: "Soon after the phone calls started to rumble in to this lawmaker's office, the phones went mute, the lights went out, and the office staff began a mass exodus, and something begins to smell a little like an over-ripe trout!!!!" :cd:

?Now I ask you, what does this tell you about what the government thinks of us all, and how they protect some of their own at all cost (To us that is)??

ADDENDUM TO ABOVE -

If the above piece portrayed but a single act of betrayal of trust by either major political party, that would be one thing! But when the mindset of more than a few within government becomes one of "Party over Patriotism, Self Over The Common Good, or Lies Over Truth", then the odoriferous excuse of the politically bent that - "It's All Just Politics", becomes a potentially fatal danger to us all!

How dare any vested group (or individual) place itself (or it's selfish agenda) above the mandates of our existence? And when the people themselves become complacent, apathetic or docile in the face of these abuses, then they cease to be human, and instead, degenerate into nothing more than cattle, toadying along a one way path to non-existence (in my opinion)!

When you cease to exercise your rights to protest and vigorously challenge the likes of the above, then you do indeed lose the essence of free and thinking men and women. And for the record, the abuses that are outlined above are fast becoming commonplace, and this in itself is unacceptable. When, however, these attacks against all that we stand for are allowed to mutate or go unchecked, then the situation becomes tragic, and indeed, maybe even nation destroying (opinion)!!

Thanks for the advice doc! Yes indeed, I took my meds this morning , but the problem is that far too many within the system need a mental-enema!!

When "ANYBODY" of "ANY PARTY" within government thinks that they can get away with using a position of trust and grave responsibility to enhance their own lot or increase the wealth or status of their butt-buddies, then yes indeed - it pisses me off!

We have a responsibility to leave this nation at least as healthy as it was when we took over the reins - do you not agree?
