VA Retro Pay
A lot of retired military people are due back pay from a law passed that awards back to some retirees starting in January 2004. THe VA is assiting DFAS with this and set a date of Nov 15, 2007 as the date to conclude the payments. However, the VA missed this deadline, and have not set another yet. If anyone wants to find information on this call 1-877-327-4457. You won't find out if you are entitled to any payment, you will only find out if you are on the list for possible retro pay. My record has been under reivew for 6 months so far and still not resolved. Don't know why someone or people working on a review cannot complete it in 6 months.
