Time To Wipe Their Own Asses!

With three of the (so called) ?Seven Steps To Sovereignty? declared completed in Iraq, Donald Rumsfeld, echoing the President I am sure, has advised the Iraqi people that: ?It Is Time For Them To Take The Responsibility For Their Own Security!! (AMEN)

The biggest problem in Iraq was getting rid of Saddam Hussein and his ilk, and this, the United States and (true) Coalition military have done!!

Next, is putting that Nation (Iraq) back in order, and this the President says, will require over $70 Billion Dollars in U.S. tax money to complete. ?It is here that I disagree!!?

If we are going to put Iraq back on it?s feet, the money needed to do so, should come from ?Iraqi Oil Revenues?, and not by further raising gasoline and other fuel prices! Quite to the contrary in fact, the promised decreases in gas prices should be honored, now that all of that Iraqi oil has been freed up!

If we have to temporarily help out in this arena, it should be only as a loan. The ?Mouse that Roared? scenario being employed here, is a dangerous one indeed! Any hostile nation with a hard-on can strike at us at will, and when they loose, they like Japan and Germany, just after WWII (and Iraq now), are assured that we will rebuild them (like the Bionic Man), better than they were before they bit off more than they could chew!

Or in North Korea?s case - do these Middle Eastern countries truly believe that we should (and must) ?SUPPORT THEM FOR LIFE?, at the expense of our own. ?The Domestic Conservatism v Foreign Liberalism, current political agenda?!?

Again, is it not now time for the people of Iraq itself to change their own soiled diapers, and with their own cash flow I might add! All too often, the foreign recipient of a boon, latches on to its benefactor and refuses to let go, like a hungry baby on a ripe tit!

?Well, it is now that time!? Time for the Iraqi people to sink or swim on their own! We here in the United States have other concerns (domestic concerns) to deal with, and the cost of this ?War of Iraqi Liberation? will now take years to pay off, at what (or who?s) expense?!

Of course, the debt of honor that we owe those troopers who let it all hang out, can never be fully paid!? But a good place to start would be by re-educating government and it?s interconnected, captive bureaucracies, on their responsibilities to our military, past, present, and future! ?LET IT BEGIN HERE!!?
