I checked it out
I checked it out, sounds like they are all from the anti-America lobby in Massachusetts. Tried to read a few bio's which are blocked or just empty. Also tried to make a post but apparently, not having "Q" clearance I'll have to wait until they do my background check. Not going to start out throwing rock, just asking questions. I talk to people like this all the time. Most were in the air force national guard in '71 or just straight wannabe's. (No offense to the air guard.)
Didn't read all the posts over there. Did anyone mention to them that, "Don't go to war in Iraq" is a moot statement? Stay healthy, Andy |

It still doesn't explain a lot.
Joy,
Thanks for explanation. I was an 18 yr kid that had a temporary job with NASA in the Spring of 1964. I was a plumbers and welders helper working out of the plumbing and welding shop. Sometimes the plumbers had to go into secret areas to do maintance. The welders sometimes worked on Secret or Top Secret projects and mock ups of military planes and weapons. We had to have a Secret Clearance. FBI background check and all. [I remember when I went home for a visit in Oregon that all the neighbors wanted to know what I had done to have the FBI checking me out] I didn't even know they had done a background check. It seems like a L clearance would be similar to a Secrect Clearance and Q clearance similar to Top Secret. Strange they would use different way of classification for something similar. Keith |

Somebody said there were classifications within top secret ... that's true ... or was when I was active duty. I did locksmithing and safe work for a few years. We did maintenance and combination changes on security containers and vaults, money vaults, things like that. (Man! Have you ever seen $3,000,000 plus all in one pile? ) We even did the installation and mintenance on the entry control devices. Since we had access and proximity to all manner of classified info, we had to have the same clearance as the folks that actually handled the stuff. (Knowing how to crack a safe or vault probably helped add us to the list too.)
Each time I changed bases, my clearance was "adjusted" up or down to fit the local need. I had a couple that were so far above "Top Secret" that I never knew myself what they meant. lol The FBI did my first clearance back in the early 70s and maintained a file on me at least until I retired in '91 ... probably still have me in the back of the drawer somewhere... I"m not sure but I think I was also finger-printed. There are several classifications this I know I once worked in a unit attached to a Black Box section and everyone had to be cleared before entering the area.
I presume records are forever and if there is any reasonable doubt they will ring the doorbell.

I had a clearance for spook equipment but not for a lot of the data it produced. Most of it went to N.I. for whatever purpose and I?d get back a laundry list of other things needed or desired. Things like provoking a YAK to light off a bombsight radar and finger printing the results were typical. Same deal with NVA or VC RTX units. That was kind of a who?s who in the zoo kind of thing. But then I don?t think we needed to tell the Marines they had bad guys in the neighborhood and we probably annoyed them more than anything else. However, even a blind pig finds a mushroom from time-to-time so every so often we?d find something new under the sun that was a surprise to all. That area was great for atmospheric skip bounce so we?d pick up the damnest things once in a while.

They changed the rules of the game over there. If you are a liberal Democrat or a Socialist you are good to go. If you are a conservative you have been deleted from their list and cannot sign on any more. They have carefully deleted all posts that disagree with their agenda and denied access to the folks who posted anything they did not like. Seems tha 1st Amendment is only valid for liberals. You are NOT PERMITTED to disagree with a liberal and if you do you will be DELETED. Sooner or later that's going to extend to everyday life if they get control of anything. People who disagree with them will be visited in the middle of the night and get DELETED.
To join now, someone has to be vouched for by the membership that is left over there. This according to Dean Paxton, their commisar. |
