Quirky trait...
...been in the "bunker" so to speak lately, and as I've never been in a bunker, but...
...It struck me that strange again this morning as I was lacing up my boots, that I've been "strapping them on tight" for 23 + years day in, day out... ...It occured to me that everytime I put them on, I knot the laces when finishing up as if I'll be running forever... ...I wore sneakers that night, and haven't worn them since,... ...been boots, summer, or winter, boots, sometimes they feel like anchors, but just boots,... tied tight, and knoted until they come off... ...just a quirky trait now...

Right after I retired, I "discovered" that I, too, had been lacing my boots tight ... TOO tight it would seem.
I bought a new pair of hunting boots, laced them snug but not the usual "tight" and hit the mountains. KNow what? My feet never felt better! lol Circulation was MUCH improved and my feet were not tired at the end of the day. Funny how we form habits ... and some of them ain't so good ... Loosen up them laces, boys! The Old Sarge
