Yesterday (Saturday) a car bomber was stopped trying to get into the "Green Zone" the two people were arrested and the car and bomb were safely detonated, no one hurt. But if it would have killed some people you would hear about it .

I would have expected the car to be stopped and any nefarious activity halted. I don't expect these incidents to make any kind of news, mainstream or wackostream. Not at all newsworthy, IMHO.

How much support was stopped by the troopies in Vietnam on a daily basis. I know for a fact that's what we did. That's their job, too. Shouldn't make news.

And another pair the MSM wants hidden from us.

The Philippine Armed forces have announced that Khaddafy Janjalani and a personage by the name of Solaiman were killed in Philippine Marine operation ?Oplan Ultimatum?. Janjalini was the leader of Abu Sayyaf* and Solaiman was Abu Sayyaf?s propaganda minister. Abu Sayyef is an Al Qaeda affiliate and is responsible for bombings, murders, kidnappings and rapes in the Mindanao area, Manila area and in Sipidan, Malaysia.
And this included the kidnapping and beheading of American tourist Guillermo Sobbero and the killing of American Missionary Martin Burnham and the ravaging of his wife, Gracia.

And further north in Quezon Province the discovery of a mass grave site had led to the indictment of NPA* leader Joma Seson for murder. Recently surrendered communist combatants led Philippine authorities to the mass grave site. Seson lives in the lap of luxury in Switzerland so unless the International courts in The Hague take up the case, he will remain untouchable and unaccountable.

20 or so people have looked at this post and decided that Covan is correct , the act of stopping that vehicle was just part of the GIs job and not news worthy?

Where's the PC in this and ain't it the way we've been fighting since we went to VN?
NVA, VC, Taliban, AlQuidaor suicide car bomber attacks and kills bunches of folks? Headlines and the terror groups once again get free advertising around the world. Maybe if we did a heck of a lot more bragging about our successes and conquest we might just find that a few more people / nations supporting our causes. Oh yeh, it was the ?Baby Killers? that made the Headlines in the ?60?s and today it?s Guantanamo or another prison that our defenders of freedom are based providing free food and lodging to those that would destroy your home if they were given the opportunity on how those prison guards are "denying freedom" to the scum in the exercise yard. We left Vietnam with our tail between our legs and ain?t nothing changed because we?re afraid to brag about our successes.
Put it on the Front Pages of every newspaper and immediately after the introduction of the Newscasters for the National Network News on prime time TV. America needs to learn about bragging rights and be proud of what we do. Usama Bin Laden sure knows how to do it and every time he sneezes the world goes running for the Kleenex.

Then we really have no bitch when the Main steam media focuses on the bad things that happen and say nothing about anything good.
