A Small Victory For A (relatively) Little Guy!

?Eminent Domain? has been challenged and beaten in the courts, at least here in San Diego!

Some time back, an element of government seized the property of a small (though popular) business owner. The owner, refusing to lay down and roll over, sued the government, having lost (according to what I saw on television) about $2,000,000!

?Well lo and behold, a miracle of sorts (in my opinion) has taken place!? This small business owner has just beaten certain powers that be to the tune of well over $7,000,000!!

If a few more business people, and other elements of struggling humanity (American Style), continue to challenge this ?Eminent Domain Land Grab (opinion)?, and do it where it hurts ($$$$) to the people attempting the grabbing, then maybe this nonsense will come to an end? Unless of course, the Supreme Court decides that when a private citizen is pitted against big money or (bought and paid for) big government, the little guy has no rights and automatically loses?

Well not to worry, for if these eminent domain insiders do lose enough cases, they will merely have the decisions of the lower courts declared un-constitutional, or better yet, the cities, counties and states involved, will raise property and other taxes to compensate for the economic loses to certain lobbies and/or greedy insiders!

?Again, and as usual, these are but my own personal opinions!?
