Drifting Back Into Times Past

Back in those years that fell amidst “The Eighteenth and the Nineteenth Century”, life seemed to be far less complex and hurried! Granted, people still had their nagging little problems and tribulations to deal with, but all and all, life back then, was somewhat less hectic and trying than it is in today’s society? (opinion)

As a matter of fact, I have even heard it said that there are more people alive today, than there has been in the entirety of human history combined – but have we really learned anything at all from the lessons and mistakes of the past – “I personally doubt it” as we still knock each other off wholesale and physical-diseases still controls us – more so in fact than we control them (opinion) and mental and moral insanity still seems to haunt even our own progressive society today!

The only real difference, at least as I see it, is that we have really worked overtime upon our grandiosity, our delusions and even upon our own self- righteousness – that, and of course, our ability to obliterate the human population of “Our Planet” in far greater numbers than we have ever done in times past! “So where do we go from here?” Will we finally get a hold upon the panacea of world peace and will we finally learn how to survive together, or will we eventually blow each other into the blazing pits of “Hell Itself”, just as we did at “Hiroshima and Nagasaki” – damned good questions indeed?

But one thing can never be disputed however, it being that there may be ‘no one’ left around to say: I told you so – “Now Will There?!”
