Default montana vacation

Joan and I spent last night at the koa campground in East Spokane Griz and Kati. We bought a 2004 forestriver georgetown Moterhome and this is our 2nd trip in it.. We have three slideouts and the rig is 35feet nine inchs so we don't feel crowded. I'll try and keep you guys posted as we go.

Chris and Joan are here! They arrived this afternoon in the new motorhome and it`s a real gem. Took them on a tour of my gardens and had a good dinner, lots of great talk, and we`re turning in for the day. Rain, mosquitos, but still it1s all good.
Really great to have my friends here..Tom and Kath will be next on the week of the 4th. Strawberries will be ripe.UMmmm.
Keith, Chris said he`s planning to stop on the return trip.

We had a wonderful time at Griz's yesterday with a great elk steak dinner. Kati looks just like her mom. this morning we pulled out and went montana 93 torward west glacier arriving about 3:00 so we went into glacier park and drove all the way to avalanche creek where we made some dinner the road is closed on the going to the sun hiway there. but we got out the bi nocks and found three mt goat across the river on a cliff. magnificent. tommorrow we go to deerlodge a phillipsberg to search for saphires at the mine there. I'll let you know if we strike it rich. I forgot to tell you how beautiful Flathead lake is just stunning.

Washington State is magnificent. I am sure Montana is the same. I don't stray more than 50 miles with my trailer. As Packo says, I'm a little alzheimic.

We are in deer lodge now, Yesterday we did Glacier park and seen 3 mountian goats and on sunday a hiker got mauled by a grizzly where we had lunch. the going to the sun road was closed because they are still trying to clear a snow drift that is 75 feet deep just east of logan pass. In phillipsberg we bought a couple of bags of sapphire ore. and joanie found 6.8 carets worth in 5 stones. I only found 1 pink sapphire and one about 3/4 caret and a bunch of little bitty ones. we are off to reedpoint today to stay with a old navy buddy until sunday

We are now at my fried bill's house in Reedpoint montana he has 960 acres with sweeping views of two mountian ranges. I'm helpinh him finish his 3400 sq ft on each of the two floors, so far I hung 6 doors including all the hardware. plus we are putting up wainscoating on the walls. yesterday we went down to town and borrowed 100 folding chairs for bills retirement party sunday. tommorrow we go down to the city park and pick up 10 picnic tables. so far i've not had time to look for deer on bills place I did see one rabbit and one antalope. camping in our motorhome is so much better then staying home and doing nothing I think I love being retired.

Keep rollin' Chris!

On the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again
On the road again
Goin' places that I've never been
Seein' things that I may never see again,
And I can't wait to get on the road again.

On the road again
Like a band of gypsies we go down the highway
We're the best of friends
Insistin' that the world keep turnin' our way
And our way
Is on the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again

On the road again
Like a band of gypsies we go down the highway
We're the best of friends
Insistin' that the world keep turnin' our way
And our way
Is on the road again

Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again
And I can't wait to get on the road
